It is really looking like winter time here in Iniana now. The leaves have all fallen off the tree's and the temp. has dropped substantially, we even had some snow on Saturday. Thanks giving was fun as usual, most of the family got together at Tammy and Tracy's house and had more food than we should have and played lots of games ( well not Aaron ) and watched football. To start the day off right we had our annual Turkey bowl, I am proud to say that this year my ( Aaron's ) team won. There were no serious injuries and no one had any harsh words, although a couple of people took some really big hits.

Wow, I think we carved our pumpkins a little soon. Now they just look like Senior citizen pumpkins. I think the one on the right might win if we had a contest again. Thanks for all the voting you all did, it was a lot of fun watching and seeing who's carving was up and down.
For the record Alida told me we needed to wait a little longer to carve but I got a little impatient. I swear next year I will listen to her.
The one on the left was : Aaron - center: Alida - right:Kelcy

The winner of the first annual pumpkin carving contest is............................... AARON..................... yaaaaaa. Alida gave me a good run for the money but was not able to upset my lead . Kelcy didn't bomb out completely, she did manage to get 3% of the vote. OK who ever gave her the vote we wanna know who you are so leave a comment. Alida and I went to a cool Halloween party last week. we had a scavenger hunt that made us run all over town and do crazy things, all the while video taping them. We all met back at the Horns house and watched each others tapes and graded them. Out of the four teams Alida's group came in first place and my group came in 3rd. We all had a good time though win or lose. { even though we should have won }.....

OK the results are in and we have a winner. We will announce it very soon. I hate to keep everyone in suspense ( as if ) but I want to do it right and don't have the time right now. Alida is trying to push me out the door to go to Terry and Bethany's right now. Check back tomorrow for the update.

Happy Halloween!!!!

Tonight for family home evening, we decided to carve pumpkins. We were all pretty pleased with our designs, but there was one small problem...whose was the best of all? We could not come to a consensus among ourselves so we thought that you could help us decide who is queen (or king) of pumpkin carving. Don't worry, it's only for bragging rights, nothing truly important, so be brutally honest and choose your favorite. Aaron is going to put up a poll that you can answer to make sure that your voice is heard. Vote Left, Center, or Right on the left hand side of our page.
We decorated the front porch to welcome all the decked out rug rats prowling for goodies and treats. My sister said I should hand out toothpaste and toothbrushes. What a weirdo! That is Halloween sacrilege! We will be handing out great goblin goodies and terrible treats come October 31st. We even have our own personal ghastly ghoul peering through the bottom left hand side of the door. Who could those two beady eyes belong to??? I'm not telling. Hope that ya'll have a happy and safe Halloween.

Here is our new car, we actualy got in in July but I know many of you have not seen it yet. It is a 2008 "KIA Rio 5." affectionatly known as "Gerbil two."
Here is "Gerbil one."

I finaly found a place to get a deep fried twinkie. Sounds good doesnt it. I had been looking for them at a fair for months, Alida and I went to the persimamin festavel in Mitchell and there they were. We also enjoyed some deep fried pickels, they were pretty good too.
School is going good for me. Between work and church we stay pretty buisy. Married life is treating me good and I am lucky to have such a smart and witty wife as a companion.

Things have been relatively calm here, for now. School starts again on Monday, and this semester I have to travel the 30 min. to bloomingtom for class, twice a week. Alida is still trying to get use to getting up early for seminary, but I think she is getting use to it now. Seminary is a hard job but I know those kids really enjoy having her teach them and in return she will be a permanent memory in those kids growing up experience.

We are still enjoying warm weather here in Indiana, without much rain lately. It is very muggy though, but we don't mind. It feels fine inside my 72 degree home and air conditioned car.

Has it really been that long since my last post? Man time does fly by. It has been a good month for the Bingham's, Alida is back to normal and feeling healthy, we had allot of birthdays this month and the summer semester just finished for me.
I am pretty sure that I did great on my exams and am looking forward to starting the new semester at the end of August, this one will be at the Bloomington campus instead of here in Bedford.
I got a job at Auto Zone and this Monday was my first day, it is part time and they are working with my schooling and I have even been able to get Sundays off. I am not making a killing at it but it is giving me something to do with my spare time. So far everyone seems nice and enjoyable to be around.
Alida Is getting ready for another year teaching early morning seminary, she should start in about a week or so. She is excited to begin teaching but not so excited to start getting up early every day. She has been getting me up at 6:00 a.m. to go walking before work starts, trying to get her body in the mode of getting up that early. I am going to have to get her to Blog a little bit so you all can hear from her on this Blogspot thing.
We went camping this last weekend with Hein and Stephanies 3 boys, and had allot of fun. I was proud of Alida, she only had one panic attack about getting bitten by ticks. We were set to go swimming at the pool that was in the park but when we got there someone had puked in it so they had to shut it down. Not to be stoped from swimming we went to the Mitchel pool ( about 15 miles from camp ) I have a video of me doing a 1 1/2 front flip off the diving board, Thats right I still have it. Here are some more pictures of the last few weeks. Enjoy and we will talk to you all later.

I love this one I am cool and she does not think so.

4th of July

Alida and I have decided to start our own blog, so that our family ,far and near, can keep up with the things that are going on in our lives.

We just had our annual 4th of July bash, and I am happy to report that no one got there fingers blown off or any part of there body burnt. I am however sad to report that my team did not win the wiffle ball tournament, despite Kristy's ( our cousin ) protest of "unfair rules". It rained most of the day but we did not let that stop us from having a good time. I wish that I would have brought my camera to take some photos of the event. I did have my cell phone camera so what I do have is not that great of quality. I hope to have them posted on here soon.

I am just getting the swing of this blog thing, so I will write back more.
